School Room Renovation Day 12

Day twelve (Friday) has been all about bookshelves. We are using the Carson bookshelves from Target.

I had five of the white three-shelf units delivered to the house when they were on sale with free shipping. This time week they are on sale again without free shipping so we had to pick the three black 5-shelf units up at the store. It took two people four trips to two target stores to get these home. To be fair, one trip was a scouting expedition and one can be blamed on user error (the length of the shelves and the angle of my husband's backseat prevented successful transport home).

We like these because they are inexpensive for mostly-wood shelves. They are 12 inches deep. Also, they do not have "wrap around crown" at the top like many units do. This means they can be (and are designed to be) pushed together to look like built-ins.

  1. These are really nice shelves. I'm going to have to check them out. I need bookshelves for the living room that look pretty! I can't wait to see the room!
